In “after midnight.” I explore the materiality of the dark fairytale in my collection, interfering with fabrics to create a patina of use. The fairytale aesthetic I am creating is exaggerated, a bit rough. I want to convey the feeling of movement from overt beauty to the emotional texture of the worn. My collection points towards how the raw and the wicked entwine with the beautiful and the sublime.
